RESIDENTIAL SPACES

Our residential service is geared for homes of all sizes, whether they’re cozy city apartments, full-sized suburban homes, or anything in between. Organizing isn’t a one-size-fits-all process; instead, we create systems that are perfectly tailored to your space and your unique needs. Our end goal is to create an organizational system that complements your space and integrates seamlessly with your day-to-day rituals and habits, leveling up your lifestyle.


OFFICE SPACES

Whether you want to upgrade your home office or your business site, Tidy specializes in creating organizational systems that boost efficiency and maximize your space. We work with office staff to upgrade existing structures and introduce new ones that are compatible with existing workflows.


MOVING

Let’s face it - moving is exhausting. There are many aspects involved in moving which include pre-move editing, packing and unpacking, and organizing once you arrive at your new home. At Tidy by Chan, our goal is to eliminate the anxiety of moving and to make the process as smooth as possible. Clients can opt in for a full-service move or choose to get help with whichever aspect of moving they need assistance with. 


VIRTUAL CONSULTS

Virtual consults are perfect for the DIY client who wants the flexibility that comes with organizing their own space but also needs the product knowledge and placement expertise of a professional organizer. The virtual consultation includes two virtual sessions, a full product list, and a space plan.


TUNE-UPS

It’s a fact: life gets messy. Even the most conscious and organized spaces need the occasional tune-up as you evolve and change. This is an exclusive service only offered for spaces previously organized by Tidy. After the session, clients can opt in for a monthly or bi-annual space tune-up. This will help keep clutter from accumulating as well as assist in adapting your space to your family’s or team’s evolving needs.

THE TIDY PROCESS

Let's get organizing! Before we begin, here’s what you can expect the process to look like:


STEP 1: DISCOVERY CALL
15-minute phone call

Let’s get to know one other! This project is all about you, so before we get down to business, we’ll have a 15-minute phone call to talk about your space, lifestyle, goals, expectations, and project timelines. That way, we’ll have a crystal-clear roadmap before we step foot in the door.

STEP 2: SPACE CONSULTATION
30-min in-person or virtual consultation

There’s no one-size-fits-all organization solution. That’s why discussing your family's needs and habits is an important part of the consultation. Once we’ve had our initial call, we take a look at your space and talk about your lifestyle and daily regimens so we can make a game plan, take measurements, and discuss product options.

 

STEP 3: PRE- SESSION
Finalize proposal, wrap up contract and deposit + receive product list

Our goal is to make Organization Day as stress-free as possible, and the best way to ensure that things go smoothly is by preparing in advance. Once the Tidy team sends over a proposal, you’ll submit your signed contract and a 50% retainer fee and we can get the prep underway. Prior to your session, you will receive a full product list. Once you’ve reviewed and approved it, we’ll order the product and go ahead and schedule our session.

STEP 4: LET’S TIDY
In-person organizing session

We begin our in-person organizing spree by clearing the space and separating items by category. We temporarily place the pre-selected organizational products and then call in the “purge point person” (the individual who has the final say on which items to keep, throw away, or donate) to review everything as well as approve of the temporary product placement. That’s when the real fun begins! With your point person’s approval, we install the remaining product and put all your personal items in their designated place. We finish up with custom labels and final tweaks.

  • There are three steps in the organizing process: We begin by removing everything from your space, after which we categorize and then edit (keep, discard, or donate) your items. This allows us to work with a blank slate and start fresh. We then will do a “dry fit” of the products to ensure that everything fits. After that, we install and place the product, organize your things, and label everything for clarity.

  • Home organizing is not a child-friendly activity. If you have children, please arrange childcare for the day on which we will be organizing your home.

  • Start with your biggest pain point! Figure out which room or space bothers you most and start from there. As we go through your house and organize the different spaces, we will be able to fine-tune the space that we originally started with. 

  • Yes! The gift of an organized home or office is one that keeps on giving and will have a long-lasting positive impact on the recipient’s day-to-day life. 

  • This is a no-judgement zone! Not only have we seen it all (trust us, we truly have), but we also understand that every person has different needs and lifestyles. 

  • After Tidy by Chan leaves your home or office, you will have an organized space with systems that allow you to upkeep it on your own. 

    That being said, life is messy and our lifestyles evolve as we do, so you have the choice to opt in for the occasional tune-up services.

    • We don’t just shove things into closets; we spend time creating personalized organization systems that are sustainable in the long term, so your house stays neat long after we leave.

    • Remember those personalized organization systems we mentioned earlier? Our solutions are tailored to you, your needs, and your lifestyle. Organization is a science and we execute it with precision!

    • It’s all in the details, and at Tidy, we don’t let any details slip by unnoticed. We’ll be by your side until every product is perfectly installed, the final jar labeled, and every single thing is perfectly placed.

  • Light cleaning work, such as wiping down shelves, is taken care of by the Tidy by Chan team. If you have cleaning help that you use regularly, it may be helpful for them to be a part of the process for any heavy-duty cleaning we uncover along the way. For handiwork, we bring our own reliable third-party service people.

  • No one will make you do anything you don’t want to do! We will guide you through the process of editing your personal items, but we won’t force you to get rid of anything you don’t want to. What we will do is ensure that your space is organized and that you can find items when you need them. 

  • This varies widely by client as it depends on your space, how big it is, how much stuff you own, and how fast you are able to make decisions. 

  • The client receives “before and after” pictures for their own records. “Before and After” photos are often featured on our Instagram feed and clients can choose whether or not they want their photos shared.

  • Nope! Tidy by Chan is full-service, which means that as soon as we have your approval to go ahead with our product recommendation list, we take care of purchasing everything and bringing it to your home or office.
