Meet Chan Kavka, founder and chief organizer at Tidy by Chan.
Chan’s love for organizing began at a ridiculously young age, when her main goal was to stem the influx of items from her sister’s side of the room into hers. This ingrained her with both an appreciation for a minimalist lifestyle and an understanding for other people’s need for “things.”
Chan is passionate about many things, including maximizing storage space in extra-deep shelving systems (yes, there’s a hack for that), getting the most bang for her buck when organizing temporary rental apartments, and finding top-quality products that deliver both form and function.
When she’s not elbows-deep in a storage closet or poring over color-coordinated labels, Chan enjoys cooking, eating, and spending time with family and friends. Bump into her at a party or social event, and chances are she’ll be expounding on the pros and cons of different organizing systems. The majority of our client base is women, and their plates are FULL. It’s what can make the job tedious, but it’s also what separates a good organizing job from a bad one.
